How to get lots of one-way links
Reciprocal links are excellent traffic builders and search engine ranking boosters, but you can also get other webmasters to link to your site without requiring a link back! Here are a few tips for getting one-way inbound links:
- Simply ask for a link! Does your website offer valuable resources or information that a related website's visitors will find useful? Then contact the other webmaster and point out that fact. Let him know that he can add value to his website by linking to yours. Not every webmaster will give you a one-way link, but many will!
- Submit your URL to as many quality Directories as you can find. The web is overflowing with niche Directories that would love to add your link to their listings, usually for free.
- Write an interesting, informative article on a topic that's related to your website. Be sure to include a "resource box" that includes a short bio, and most importantly, a link to your website.
Then contact other similar websites and offer to let the webmasters use your article as long as they include your bio and link. Repeat this process over and over again, and before long you'll have articles all over the web, each with a valuable link back to your site!
- Create a short ebook about a topic that is related to your website and put up a download page for it. Then invite other webmasters to link to your download page as an extra resource for their sites' visitors. Many of them will add the link giving you lots of extra backlinks.
- If you are skilled at writing scripts, create one and give it away in exchange for a link. In fact, you can give away virtually anything in exchange for a link, including software, ebooks, t-shirts, etc.!
- Offer to redesign a poorly designed web page (or even an entire site if it consists of just a few pages) in exchange for a small link at the bottom of the page(s).
As you can see, the opportunities for getting lots of one-way, non-reciprocal links are limited only by your imagination. Get busy and start getting those links! You'll be very glad you did!
